Long Description of Concert: RTD3 is a long-standing Bay Area trio (Ron Heglin,
Tom Nunn and Doug Carroll) who have performed intuitive, highly integrated and interactive improvisations for over a decade. This group reflects, as one fine improviser put it, that "ole timey improv" we all know and love! It is a classic.
Know Crystal Nun is a recently formed trio of Gary Knowlton, Crystal and
Tom Nunn. Gary's studio - Gatmo - is a veritable "hub" of musical activity in Sebastopol bringing together many and diverse musical talents. His work with Tom extends back over 20 years, and he plays his own electroacoustic percussion board, the Hyena, for this performance. Crystal Awareness l- weird wizard of wires, circuits, strings and software creator, joins Tom and Gary, with his fractals, sonifications, feedback and generative algorithms for an adventurous offering of improvised music.
