glou glou, active in the Bay Area since the beginning of 2012, is dedicated to creating improvised electronic music that is primarily ambient and consonant. glou glou plays both on and off stage, working with musicians and dancers like Thingamajigs and Christine Germaine. Gretchen Jude plays Roland SP-404, koto and sings (among other things); Arjun Mendiratta plays laptop, violin and rocks (and such). glou glou [pronounced glue glue] is the birdsong of the future. glou glou is concerned with texture, timbre, tonality, post-human improvisation, and whimsy. glou glou is a french word meaning kKJ86$#JkfDLos;oOOp. small children are particularly receptive to glou glou.
Oa creates music entirely from human voices, mostly in the form of spoken recordings, such as stories, poetry and conversations. Oa's debut CD (also called "Oa") will be available from Edgetone Records.
