8 pm
Bleeding Vector
Lorin Benedict - voice
Eric Vogler - guitar

"This (more than) decade-old duo of guitar and voice will feature a melange of well-worn standards and original compositions. Some of the standards may experience radical transformations from their more familiar incarnations, while others will be less mutated. Original compositions will be those for which seed material was generated on a computer, using a combination of user-supplied rules and stochastic elements."

9 pm
Phillip Greenlief - tenor saxophone
Max Johnson - bass
Jordan Glenn - drums

New York bassist Max Johnson visits the west coast and makes an appearance at Berkeley Arts with Bay Area bright lights Greenlief and Glenn. East meets West ... melodies, rhythm, noise, texture, surprises: you know, music. Improvised music; fleeting in the moment that has already passed - don't miss it in the present tense.

Cost: $10 - $20, sliding scale
