The musical evening that the Five O 'Clock Piano Duo offers the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco reflects the content of their recent album, ITALIAN CONNECTION. The deep need for immediacy of communication is the glue that binds the music of Aldo Cusano, Davide Zannoni, Lorenzo Fiscella and Damiano D'Ambrosio, who infuse their scores with poetic images gleaned from a simple but profound observation of reality, location and space.
The Five O’Clock Piano Duo consists of Emilija Pinto and Massimiliano Chiappinelli, who has to his credit numerous concerts in Italy and abroad as well as recordings made for RTS Belgrade and Vatican Radio. On the 19th of April, the duo will be in Los Angeles performing the world premiere of the orchestra and piano four-hands incarnation of Zodiaco by Damiano D'Ambrosio, with the Irvine Symphony directed by Zun-Hin Woo.
