Jazz violinist Mads Tolling has conquered the Bay Area over the past 10 years since moving from Denmark to join the Turtle Island String Quartet. Now on his own, Tolling recently performed his own violin concerto with the Oakland East Bay Symphony in February. For this concert Mads presents his new project called "Mads Men" with his take on the 60's cultural revolution, and also gives a nod to his mentor — the GREAT Swinging Dane violinist Svend Asmussen who will turn 100 this year!
