Lisa Mezzacappa presents the Bay Area premiere of her expansive new work Glorious Ravage, a multi-media song cycle for a large ensemble of virtuoso California improvisers.
Glorious Ravage features new film, video and animation by Bay Area filmmakers Janis Crystal Lipzin, Kathleen Quillian, Alfonso Alvarez and Konrad Steiner. The work is inspired by the adventures and writings of Victorian lady explorers, who trekked to the wildest parts of the earth, to escape, to discover, and to lose themselves.
