TFPP TFPP (Oakland): a collaboration between Bob LaDue and Matt Hennich, a pair interested in complex song structures and rhythmic variety. Together they’ve made straight dance music, instrumental “IDM”, noise music, rap and pop songs. “Our recording projects are primarily heavily edited sample sequences with vocals. Sometimes we work with guests. Our live performance is of a similar style although the music may be played differently than how it is recorded.” Album release show for Mattpuut (Proximal Records) http://music.tfpp.net/ Special guests: Andrew Maguire,
Robert Lopez,
Mark Clifford, Aaron Hipschman.

Evil Genius (LA) was formed in 2012 by Max Kutner, Stefan Kac and Mike Lockwood. Each member brings a vast range of creative experience, performing and composing in genres as distant as death metal, polka, thrash, swing, chamber music, progressive rock, klezmer, surf and musique concrete. The music of Evil Genius thus comes forth as a shredded amalgamation of those musical styles (and many more) that can shift focus spontaneously and in a unashamedly free fashion. This quality when combined with distinctly cinematic melodies and not-so-subtle threads of dark humor allows for an original aesthetic that is always inclusive despite its complexity. http://evilevilgeniusgenius.com/story.html
