RAW presents Katarina Countiss, Estefano Romani, Ariel Daly, and Naina Shastri at SAFEhouse Arts
Katarina Countiss presents "ASMR with Katarina", a 30 minute set of sound art, improvisation, poetry and experiments. Also included: a brief ASMR 101. Encouraged: bring our own headphones and smart phones. There will be a limited supply of splitters and cheap headphones at the venue.
Estefano Romani presents "LINE", A joyful attempt to use form in order to get closer to people. A fascination in creating a score or action or dance that, through insistence in formality (a line, in that case), finds a more intimate and personal way of being amongst other people. From formal to social for questioning and expanding the normal.
Ariel Daly presents "Freedom's Fancy". The piece opens in a tiny UES restaurant as its last barfly is straggling home. The piece follows the bartender, waiter and cook as they close up shop and go out into the city for the night, chasing love, making and losing friends along the way.
Also presenting a new work by Naina Shastri. "Waiting - the game of Love" presenting a woman and her moods as she waits for her Lover. Depiction of the "Shringara rasa"(mood of Love) through Indian Classical Dance, Bharatanatyam, set to music by Charlie Mariano and the Karnataka College of Percussion.
