8:00 pm Song & Dance Trio Karl Evangelista-guitar, Cory Wright-reeds, Jordan Glenn-drums
9:00 pm Arma Agharta (from Lithuania) - voice/electronics/toys

Filipino-American guitarist/composer Karl Evangelista ranks among a new wave of creative musicians grounded in jazz, 20th century experimentalism, and popular song, exploring the place of multiculturalism and ethnic co-existence in an increasingly post-cultural, trans-idiomatic cultural space. Evangelista’s music has been called “essential current-and-future listening,” a “near-seamless blend of modern jazz, contemporary structuralist composition, indie rock, and blues rock” (Tiny Mix Tapes). This complex, powerful aesthetic fosters an “otherworldly experience” that is “completely original” (Eugene Weekly).

Arma Agharta is a sound performance artist and promoter from Lithuania devoted to improvised and
experimental music. Since 2006 he has organized more than a 100 events in Lithuania and did more than 300
performances all around the world: from Brazil to Philippines, from Siberia to California, from Greenland to
Moldova.
His intense and high energy shows span a broad territory between the eruptions of chaotic noise and hypnotic
psychedelic ritual to dadaist humour, odd bodily movements, spontaneous improvised games and the voice,
detached from meaning and turning into unintelligible glossolalia
