Eric Glick Rieman w/ Knitting Ensemble

Eric Glick Rieman works with composition in an area that embraces graphic scores and more traditional techniques in the Experimental Music continuum. To make the patterns of his scores, he has worked with animals such as snails and cats. He also just makes stuff up.

This incarnation of the Knitting Ensemble includes
Eric Glick Rieman: prepared Rhodes electric piano
Brett Carson: piano
Nava Dunkelman: percussion
Suki O'Kane: percussion
Jakob Pek: guitar

My work is about sound and sounds. I like to listen, and I hope my work evokes this in a listener. In this performance, I’ll be performing on a prepared and modified Rhodes electric piano, an instrument with which I’ve been working since 1998. I think of my music as residing simultaneously in tonal and noisy spaces. In this performance, I’ll be joined by some of my musical friends, playing compositions of mine, who like to reside in a similar musical space.
