Brent Miller’s 40th Birthday Celebration Concert!

A 40th birthday extravaganza that everyone is invited to, featuring performances of recent works and a couple of BRAND NEW pieces, meaning YOU HAVEN’T HEARD THEM YET! And did I mention there will be drinks?...

Brent is turning 40! C4NM co-founder Brent Miller is going out all out for his 40th birthday, and you are invited. Celebrate with some amazing musicians performing works spanning the last 15 years. Featuring Travis Andrews, Salvatore Barra, Adam Fong, Jacqueline Goldgorin, Matthew Linder-Holmes, Sophie Huet, Anne Hepburn Smith, and Elizabeth Talbert.

Brent Miller (b. 1978) is a composer, performer, and arts administrator based in San Francisco, CA. Recent projects include works for Rova Saxophone Quartet, violinist Eric km Clark (Southland Ensemble, EAR Unit), Dither Electric Guitar Quartet, and Sqwonk. He has received grants from Zellerbach Family Foundation and American Composers Forum to fund his work. He studied composition at the University of Arkansas with Robert Mueller and University of Missouri-Kansas City with James Mobberley and Paul Rudy.

Brent is active in the arts administration field founding and serving as Managing Director for The Center for New Music in San Francisco, a work/performance space that supports creative music. He also has worked with Other Minds, helping to produce the annual Other Minds Festival, Rova:Arts, a non-profit organization that supports Rova Saxophone Quartet, and Stanford Jazz Workshop and is a founding member of The Collected, a group dedicated to the advancement of new music.
