Studio 1510

1510 8th Street
Oakland CA

Studio 1510 is an up and coming recording studio which is also an intimate house concert space. In the past we have presented world class experimental/improvised music to an enthusiastic audience for the past five years. In 2008 we continue that tradition. Studio 1510 is also available for bookings of intimate private concerts or other events, and seats approx 20-25 people. Stereo or multitrack recordings can also be made in the space, which features a grand piano and is an excellent room for acoustic music. We will soon be upgrading the space to be a premiere venue for electronic music concerts with spatialized surround sound, adding another dimension to our versatility.

For musicians interested in playing: While Studio 1510 has presented many well-known improvisers in the past, we almost never have a budget to pay guarantees except in very special cases. This may change in the future, but for now this place is strictly a grassroots, non-5013C venue.
