Serving the San Francisco Bay Area New Music Community

Sat, Jun 18 2016 8:00 PM

In 2007 Phil Dadson (From Scratch) invited 3 fellow instrument inventors from California to participate in the citywide Auckland, New Zealand cultural festival AK07, and it was here that Tom Nunn met electric bass improviser Paul Winstanley. Fast forward to 2010 and Paul had moved to San Francisco, hooked up with Tom and formed the improvising psychedelic duo Music For Hard Times. Now 6 years later, as Phil begins a 10 week residency at the Marin Headlands, the trio will celebrate a full circle and reunion of sonic compatriots when all 3 perform a concert together at the Center For New Music. There will be a solo, a duo and a trio with invented and re-invented instruments and lots of good cheer.

Cost: $15/$10
