Alphastare:
Jeff K. has been working in the realm of experimental noise and sound since the early 90's. Studied under the shadows, an unofficial, perpetual student of The Invisible College. Inspired by artists such as Throbbing Gristle and Einsturzende Neubauten, early shows were like human chemistry experiments, often pulling people into the performance the day of. After relocating to California in 1996, playing with legendary LA outsider vocalist Chris D. in The Flesh Eaters and a few other slightly more conventional music projects, a return to experimentation was long overdue. Alphastare was started in 2012 in San Francisco and focuses on field recorded sounds of the city, explorations in new and older technology and continues to evolve as a solo endeavor and in the occasional collaboration.
