Unbound is a San Francisco based free-jazz world fusion music ensemble with members from San Francisco, Chengdu, and Beijing. We play world music consisting of jazz fusion, free jazz, and American funk rock mixed with Chinese melodies from folk to opera to rock. We also explore connections to Native American music. Our original compositions, such as Dancing with Moon Eyes, Flashbacks and Lightning, and Tai, are influenced by nature and authentic human spirits. In our Chinese fusion music such as Kang Ding Love Song, The Cheerful Sunshine, and Goodfella, we combine our music into a unique sonic painting where East meets West.
