Nam June Paik, Charlotte Moorman, & the Electronic Superhighway

Join us for a look at Nam June Paik’s collaborative approach to and influence on art-making. Curators Rachel Jans + Tanya Zimbardo will give introductory remarks, Joan Rothfuss will highlight Paik’s work with Charlotte Moorman, and Ed Halter and Rudolf Frieling—both 2017 Thoma Foundation Arts Writing Award in Digital Art recipients—will track Paik’s traces today.

The evening begins with a screening of Jud Yalkut’s video realization of Moorman and Paik performing John Cage’s 26’1.1499” for a String Player. Speakers follow at 7 p.m.
