gabby fluke-mogul is a violinist, improviser, composer, & educator living in Oakland, CA. gabby is deeply committed to exploring & connecting to the spiritual depths, infinite sounds, hues, & multitudinous voices of the acoustic violin. through improvising//composing, gfm hopes to create space for individual & collective intersectional process, deep listening, healing, laughter, intimacy, & narrative. they are interested in the sensual nature of sound—how desire & eroticism are embodied & translated within the political & poetic context(s) of improvisation.

Jacob Felix Heule is an improvising percussionist with a special interest in friction techniques. His music is shaped by intuition, listening, and following where the sounds lead. He embraces limited instrumentation - like a single drum and a single cymbal - as a commitment to exploring the depth of his instruments. Heule frequently collaborates with Danishta Rivero, Guro Moe, Haavard Skaset, Bill Orcutt, Tom Djll, Matt Chandler, Kanoko Nishi-Smith, Kyle Bruckmann, and John McCowen. He also curates the monthly Active Music Series, and runs a monthly improvisation workshop, Doors That Only Open in Silence, where the members of this group first met.

Kim Nucci is an Oakland-based, New England raised, multimedia artist/composer and improviser. They play woodwinds, synthesizers, and laptop. They like making big things and very tiny things. They hold a BA in Visual Arts from Bennington College and Masters degrees from Mills College in Music Composition and Electronic Music and Recording Media. They are interested in the languages of sound and light, and through those exploring the universality of nonverbal communication. Kim claims to be the Pope of facebook and worships dollar slice pizza as the one true god, while living in the god(pizza)less land of California.

Clarke Robinson is an electronic musician and improviser living in the San Francisco Bay Area. A longtime fan of punk rock, avant-garde jazz, and coffee; he now also enjoys synthesizers, electroacoustic improvisation, and tea.
