This show will be the premiere of the "Atka Quartet" led by alto saxophonist and composer Jacob Zimmerman (www.jacobrexzimmerman.com).

This group is focused on exploring the different possibilities of a book of 9 original melodies. Using a variety of imaginary constructed "styles," as well as improvisation, the group is constantly able to express these predetermined sound identities in new ways.
There will also be an improvised duo performance with Trumpeter Joe Moffett and Zimmerman. Both musicians graduated from the New England Conservatory in Boston, which is where Moffett is traveling from to play this special show.

Wiener Kids' music is inspired by small dogs, old bikes, muppets, cheap Halloween decorations, babies with glasses and other wiener kids. It's fast and slow, loud and soft. It draws as much from Jan Svankmajer and Hans Bellmer as Peewee Herman and Jim Hensen.
