"A curious trio explores a path less trod...and brilliantly performed," writes the Berkeley Times of the innovative Black Cedar Trio, with Kris Palmer on flute, Nancy Kim on cello, and Steve Lin on guitar, the only ensemble of its kind.

Recently awarded a grant from the San Francisco Friends of Chamber Music, they bring music from their upcoming debut album featuring never recorded recent compositions for their unique instrumental grouping: music of New Zealand’s Ross Carey, Cambodia’s Chinary Ung, and American composer Nathan Kolosko.
