Karen Stackpole - gongs, percussion

Well known bay area improvisers Karen Stackpole and Tim Perkis will be seen and heard tonight playing together in duo for the first time. Karen specializes in extracting amazing resonances and rhythms from a collection of gongs and other metallic percussion instruments, and has performed an recorded with with metals/gongs duo Euphonics, Dean Santomieri, Ron Thompson, Myles Boisen, Moe Staiano, and John Schott’s Ensemble Diglossia. Tim Perkis has been playing his self-designed computer/electronic improvisational instruments with many, many improvisers over the course of decades, and is a founding member of The Hub and Fuzzybunny.

We are an improvising ensemble which focuses on creating a sonic energy and vibrational fusion to synchronize the quantum microtubules and physical manifestations of the light/energy within the immediate universe.
