Motoko Honda - piano
Elizabeth Schenck - saxophone

The trio of pianist Motoko Honda, saxophonist Beth Schenck, and trumpeter Kris Tiner performs original compositions and improvisations that explore subtle sonic textures, deeply nuanced lyricism, and a unique take on the idea of "chamber jazz." Frequent collaborators over the past decade, these three musicians have established wide ranging associations in the jazz and improvised music communities of San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York.

Tiberius
Dominique Cramp - electric piano, electronics
Mike Guarino - drums
special guest
Phillip Greenlief, alto & tenor saxophones

TIBERIUS is the long-standing duo of Dominique Cramp and Mike Guarino. Tiberius swerves unpredictably from quiet, near-ambient meditations to densely populated post-free jazz, energy-driven music. Their improvisation style, however, is more informed from the tenets of experimental rock. On this occasion they are joined by Phillip Greenlief, a veteran free improviser who seems to thrive in any musical situation. Please join us for this rare meeting of what is sure to be a compelling trio of improvisers who share a vast sound palette and vocabulary of technique.
