Jon Raskin - saxophones will be performing "structured chaos" and "knowing the unknowable". These long time musical alchemists will descend into the musical memes of their past and burnish the fossils and jewels of inspiration. They will endeavor to "lift the bandstand"
Karen Stackpole (gongs and percussion),
Bruce Ackley (founding member of Rova Saxophone Quartet), and peripatetic pianist
Thollem McDonas will explore their instruments' full spectrum in timbre, sonic texture and compound patterns. Responding to Karen's unique approach to sound and performance Thollem and Bruce will weave wonderfully strange melodies, jumbles of rhythm, and swaths of color.
