Renowned clarinetist
Ben Goldberg introduces audiences to his seminal project Orphic Machine, a ten movement song-cycle based on the poetical writings of Allen Grossman. Goldberg returns in February with a nine-piece All-Star band to perform the complete work as part of the New Frequencies Fest: Jazz@YBCA. The Los Angeles Times described Orphic Machine as a “knotted and occasionally spooky composition marked by dazzling interplay.”
