ABOUT
Chris BrownChris Brown, composer/pianist/improvisor, is also a professor of music at Mills. His music most often includes the close interaction of acoustic and electronic instruments. Gangsa (2010) is one such piece that features four Philippine flat-gongs playing rhythmic patterns that phase while a computer creates interlocking transformations of their sounds in real time. The program will also include a short set of improvisations for live computer and percussion.
