Serving the San Francisco Bay Area New Music Community

Mobius Trio’s program will represent some of the most exciting contemporary Bay Area composers as it unveils the incredible possibilities of what a guitar trio is capable of. This beautiful and wild music is pleasantly difficult to anticipate as it flows from lyrical bluegrass-classical fusion to post-minimalist mayhem on both acoustic AND electric guitars.

This program is heavily influenced by Bay Area composers and will contain two halves: one performed on classical guitars, and one performed on electric guitars. It will feature three premiers by the composers Mario Godoy, Joseph Colombo, and Santiago Gutierrez Bolio. In addition, it will also feature works by Sergio Assad and Danny Clay. In all cases, these works have been explicitly written for Mobius Trio whose mission is to nourish the brave new ideas of contemporary music and expand the guitar trio’s repertoire in every artistic direction.
