Matt Eakle, a stalwart member of the David Grisman Quartet for 20 plus years is probably the best known improvising flute player in the Bay Area. His brother, Kit Eakle is a well-known jazz violinist and the founder of Point Richmond Jazz. They reunite this Holiday Season with a funk/fusion flavored rhythm section of Matt Silva on guitar, and Alex Baum on bass, and add in a scion of the Otis tradition, Johnny Otis's son Nicky Otis on percussion, and you are in for a night of pure celebratory fun on this FIRST ANNUAL Point Richmond Jazz Boxing Day celebration.
