Guitarist, clarinetist, composer and improviser from Singapore, Adam Adhiyatma started in rock and jazz bands and has migrated to noise. He is interested in the formal and mystical boundaries of sound. Mystical: phenomenological or experiential rather than supernatural. Some of his favorite music combines clarity and detachment with hallucinatory intensity. He also thinks about voices; multiple voices issuing from the same body, hydras, and the ensuing confusion, and the ensuing ecstasy.
