Veteran Boulez interpreter Aimard is joined by Yugoslav pianist Stefanovich in an extraordinary program of Boulez's most challenging works for piano, including the rigorous duo Structures. Among the most respected performers of 20th century piano repertoire, Aimard was appointed the first piano soloist with Boulez's Ensemble Intercontemporain at age 19. As such, the longtime collaboration between composer and performer lends unique authority to Aimard's performances of these seminal works.
