Open Salon with Wild Rumpus
Wild Rumpus and the Center for New Music are partnering to offer a free, open reading session and salon! Composers can sign up for spots to have their works read by the ensemble, and Wild Rumpus will also share works-in-progress, including new commissions! Have a drink and some snacks and hear some new music get made! Here are the details:

6:30-7:15 PM: Open readings of solos/small ensembles (CNM members, then all composers, TBD)
7:15-7:30: Solo presentation by Weston Olencki
7:30-8 PM: Reading of new commission by Emma O’Halloran
8-8:30: Reading of new commission by Stefan Weisman
8:30-9: Reading of new commission by Jen Wang
9-10:30: Open readings of large ensembles (CNM members, then all composers, TBD)

Flute (flute, piccolo)
Clarinet (Bb, A, Eb, bass)
Trombone (tenor trombone, euphonium)

Other (melodica, simple keyboards, other stuff random, musically literate people could play)
Guidelines
—Submitting to the reading session is free, but signing up is required. CNM members will be given priority, but otherwise readings with feasible instrumentations will be scheduled on a first-signed-up, first-served basis. (Please see note below about percussion.)
—Sketches and completed pieces for any subset of our instrumentation are welcome.
—Composers must be able to attend the reading in person.
—You’re welcome to record the reading for non-commercial use, but we ask that you leave the recording unattributed.
—If your piece requires percussion, we’ll need to confirm availability of instruments before assigning you a time slot; please note that we may not be able to accommodate all setups. Please sign up ASAP (no later than March 6, 2015), and include your instrument list in the form where requested.
—Please submit your score or sketch(es) by March 20, 2015 to Jen Wang (jen@wildrumpusmusic.org). We’ll post and e-mail you a final schedule based on the music we receive. Pieces requiring a conductor are welcome.
