The Lost Trio
Phillip Greenlief - tenor saxophone
Dan Seamans - bass
Tom Hassett - drums
Special Guest Scott Foster: guitar

We are happy to have been invited by Do Tell to share this bill! Now celebrating 21 years of music making, The Lost Trio is currently sporting a set that mostly features original compositions by Phillip Greenlief and Dan Seamans. On this occasion, we are pleased to be joined by SF guitarist Scott Foster - an exceedingly talented musician who has worked with all of the members of the trio over the past 20 years.

9 pm
Do Tell
Dan Clucas - cornet (LA)
Mark Weaver - tuba (Albuquerque)
Dave Wayne - drums (LA)

Initially formed to address the compositions of Henry Threadgill, this trio now incorporates material from many other jazz composers. The group tends to work in paradoxes: they are tight but loose, transparent but dense, tradition-oriented but modern ... Although their homes are in three different cities, the unique chemistry of this rambunctious trio continues to inspire them to find ways to rehearse and perform together.

Cost: $10 - $20, sliding scale
