Christopher Luna Mega & Diego Villaseñor de Cortina + DunkelpeK

An octopussian evening of eight freely improvising arms with forty fingers of sonic exploration.

**Christopher Luna and Diego Villaseñor**

Christopher Luna will be leaving Oakland to pursue his PHD at the University of Virginia in a couple of months. Christopher is part of duo with long time collaborator Diego Villaseñor, who will be in Oakland during April and May. The duo’s work is deeply rooted in a careful listening of the environment that surrounds us, borrowing its sounds as foundations for musical content. As resources for this task, they use extended techniques, spectral harmonies and field recordings.

**DunkelpeK**

DunkelpeK is Nava Dunkelman (percussion) and Jakob Pek (guitar, miscellany, piano). This Bay Area based duo offers listeners a visceral, syncretic experience of sound and silence. Inspired and informed by many musics of the world and beyond, DunkelpeK interweaves and explores countless dimensions of vibration, giving being to a sonic reality unlike any other.
