Acclaimed as a foremost performer of compositions by John Cage, Michael Parsons, and Cornelius Cardew, tale of Chen's full range must also include her improvisational duos with Steve Beresford on an album called "Ointment", with Jon Raskin and Bruce Ackley of the Rova Saxophone Quartet. Earth Jerks
Christian Dixon knows humans, not only has he played with them as with his famed trio Death Sentence Panda! he defies their spiritual death by running a record shop, and it's even rumored he created a real human inside his house. But if you separate him from other humans, something strange happens, it's as if he can summon the personhood of machines. As documented on the Computer Tapes label, his solo project, Earth Jerks, demonstrates how to use gaffer's tape effectively and how to abide by the adage; "3 chords good, 2 chords better, 1 chord best". The audience will be asked to keep a safe and silent distance during this demonstration.
