The
Del Sol String Quartet will explore in depth Terry Riley's "Mythic Birds Waltz," which he composed in 1983. Riley's piece will be paired with new work commissioned from Oakland-based artist Kate Rannells who focuses on creating a sense of place in mixed media works using paint, wax, and found and natural objects. The evening will include performances by Del Sol, an exhibition of Rannells' works, an interactive discussion between the artists and attendees, and a post-concert reception in CNM's casual and intimate setting.
