Empyrean Ensemble – Newly Written, Here & There
The Empyrean Ensemble is the new music ensemble in residence at UC Davis. Newly Written, Here & There is a program of new works by composers rarely heard in the Bay Area. In addition to a premiere by Yiorgos Vassilandonakis, music by Jason Eckhardt, Amy Williams, Benjamin Sabey, Peter Van Zandt Lane, and Steve Ricks will be performed. Join flutist Tod Brody, pianist Michael Seth Orland and violinist Hrabba Atladottir for an evening of acoustic works performed alongside works with live electronics and instruments.
