Intervales is an ambient and minimalist electronic music project. I consider it a musical journal of electronic landscapes drawn from life experiences. It's about ancestors, home, love, and nature. An Intervale is a New England term that describes low lying land next to a river. Essentially a valley, it's where farmers would grow crops due to the rich soil found there. They are special places with a lot of history. I spent much of my youth in and around them.
Alex Vittum is a drummer and electronic musician based in Oakland, CA. He plays in the experimental pop duo For Now with his wife Zeina Nasr, records ambient/minimalist music under the moniker Intervales and performs electro-acoustic music as Prism.
