San Francisco Bay Area-based Duo Camaraderie is a professional flute and piano chamber ensemble featuring a variety of outstanding guest artists each season- both instrumentalists and vocalists, as well as living composers. This concert will highlight collaborations with Duo Camaraderie friends: violist Ilana Matfis and clarinetist Rebecca D'Alessio, as well as original works written by local composers Jean Ahn and Omid Zoufonoun! Clarinetist Rebecca D'Alessio joins the duo in a fun and upbeat Barn Dances by Libby Larsen (2001), followed by Omid Zoufonoun's, By Shadow, By Light (2014). The concert continues with a world premiere titled TOYS written by Dr. Jean Ahn, and the program ends with the rustic yet contrapuntal Concertino by Ernest Bloch (1950).
