Scott AmendolaBilly White is a young San Francisco-born pianst whose musical journeys have taken him far and wide. Studying under Kenny Burrell at UCLA (and winning the prestigious Duke Ellington award), the pianist/composer has blazed new trails both geographically, doing Ethnomusicology fieldwork in Ghana, Nicaragua and Morocco, and conceptually, working with New York's most innovative players and even music technology, recently working with Berkeley-based Keith McMillen labs on their new 3-D keyboard controller. A prolific composer and a mature ensemble player, White pushes the boundaries of music itself, while always maintaining a sense of purpose and humor.
White will be joined by veteran Bay Area drummer
