Oakland's Baus was originally formed by SoCal natives Thomas Jackson and Mike Morales. Sierra Wendt, who also provides some great screams, plays bass.

Surplus 1980 is a Bay Area post-punk rock band fronted by former Sleepytime Gorilla Museum percussionist,
Moe! Staiano. Built on the foundation laid by instrumental no-wave post-rock band, Mute Socialite, Surplus 1980's music is a thicker brew with an out-jazz touch and more than a dash of punk ferocity, and maybe a hint of progressive rock. There is plans of a large ensemble recording of Surplus 1980 with G.W. Sok on vocals, along with more new music for yet another (and overdue) third release.
