Wild Rumpus
The flexible and dynamic Wild Rumpus Collective continues to bridge musical divides with impassioned performances of work by radical young and emerging composers from around the world.
Wild Rumpus is dedicated to the adventurous, eclectic world of contemporary music, collaborating with emerging composers and performing both world premieres and new classics alike. Founded in 2011, the ensemble has commissioned and premiered 25 works, with more on the way. Each year, their call for scores draws hundreds of entries, from which composers are selected to develop new works through close contact with the ensemble. By creating a space for experimentation, risk-taking, and dialogue, the ensemble seeks to be challenged and excited by the music they make, and to support the growth of the composers who work with them.
