Admiral Launch Duo explores new sounds for harp and saxophone through improvisation and direct collaboration with composers. Since their 2013 Fresh Inc. Festival debut, the pair has premiered pieces by Dylan Arthur Baker, Matthew Browne, Christine Hedden, Jasper Alice Kaye, Natalie Moller, Patrick O’Malley, and Stephen Rush. Their interest in interarts collaboration led them to perform at the Milwaukee and Racine art museums and the HERA conference. Committed to dynamic creative programming, they were featured on the inaugural Listening to Ladies concert series with a program of electroacoustic music by women composers. They have also performed at the Northwestern University New Music Conference, University of Michigan Social Justice Art Festival, Kerrytown Concert House and Northbrook Parisian Salon Concerts. Admiral Launch Duo has held two residencies at the Avaloch Farm Music Institute. They have performed and held masterclasses at Schenectady County Community College Chamber Music Series, UMass Amherst, The Hartt School, and Michigan State University.
