DunkelpeK is Japanese born percussionist Nava Dunkelman and Canadian American guitarist Jakob Pek. This iconoclastic duo plays a progressive, avant-garde world music for the new century. With experimental improvisations that transfigure and hybridize the sounds of the world, DunkelpeK offers listeners a holistic exploration into the very nature of musical experience.

2nd set Trevor Dunn - Phillip Greenlief

Bassist Trevor Dunn and Phillip Greenlief began playing in 1993 and soon focused on their duo, which resulted in the untitled release of their first CD in 1995, which earned a great deal of critical acclaim. They have continued to play on the east and west coasts, and are currently planning a recording session for their 25th anniversary. Don't miss this rare chance to hear the duo in the bay area!
