from greenlief: over the past few years, fred and i have played a show in the fall at tom's and the vibe is fantastic in that intimate space - come early, it fills up - and i should bring attention to the fact that fred is retiring from his incredible run as professor of music at mills college (he started in 1999). just how long fred is going to stick around the bay area is a bit of a mystery, so if you want to catch him before he disappears (and then you'll say, dang, i wish i had seen him while he was here) come out on saturday and bring your best set of ears, we promise to reward them.
