An avid improviser at heart, plectrum banjoist Tracy Hui is working to cull the full diversity of sounds that he can conjure from his chosen instrument. Timbres that recall bouzouki, sitar, san xian, old time flailing, 3 finger style, irish tenor, jazz age plectrum, guitar, mandolin and percussion flow in cascades creating an intricately rhythmic and lyrically expressive banjo style. He does all this while playing percussion with his feet and singing/growling out his outlaw poetics.
Dylan Burchett is an electronic musician, composer, and improviser from Florida, currently based in Oakland, CA.
