Sunday Streets Berkeley
Shattuck Ave, Between Haste and Rose.

A variety of performers and participatory activities take to the street. Highlights include Jordan Glenn's Mobile Unit at 11:00am parade, and Bob Marsh leading the Che Guevarra Memorial Marching (and Stationary) Accordion Band (also in parade). Bob will also perform later in the day in Sonic Suit #1.

The very first Sunday Streets Berkeley takes place Sunday October 14, 2012, 11am - 4pm
from Shattuck Ave from Haste to Rose.

Cycle, stroll, skate, dance,�and play in the open streets!

The streets will be car-free and extremely people-friendly. 

Experience the streets in a whole new way. Explore over a mile of community-led fun in an exciting public space. Travel from a entirely pedestrian Downtown Berkeley to North Berkeley's Gourmet Ghetto all by bike or on foot. Partake in classes and other activities. Connect with friends new and old.

It's a block party of 17 blocks! The streets are ours for quality time!�Experience Berkeley districts in a radically different way!

What happens when the streets are closed to car traffic and open for the people? We shall see how the community gets creative with this new public space . . .
