The Glacier Invitational Concert is a mid-winter project taking place at the Berkley Arts Festival, 2133 University Ave., Berkeley, on Sunday, February 3rd at 8:00 PM, and will be comprised of two sets - Fiery Cold I and Fiery Cold II. Drawing from local veterans and young masters of improvisation, the sets will employ acoustic, electronic, and invented instruments. The aesthetic is one of spontaneous composition in chamber modality. The following players are participating: Michael Coleman moog synth, Doug Carroll e-cello, Bryan Day invented instruments,Ron Heglin trombone/voice, Bob Marsh cello, David Michalak lap steel, Tom Nunn invented instruments, Rent Romus saxes, Jim Ryan Arp 2600/trumpet, Eli Wallace piano.
