Danny Allen's High Diving Horses are song fans. We've got sad ones, happy ones, punky ones and rootsy ones. We rock, and then we play "Moon River." We've got a toy piano, some old guitars, an upright bass, miscellaneous drums, and whatever else is laying around. Sometimes we have special guests.
After years spent winning folks over with the ethereal soundscapes of Ramona the Pest and the twang inspired stylings of Loretta Lynch, Val Esway continues her explorations of love, liquor & loss with her band El Mirage, whose sound has been described as equal parts twang, tingle and torch. For this show, the band will be debuting a set of jazz and country standards mixed in with Val's originals.
Karry Walker's ultralash is a music project based in Oakland CA, that's equal parts enigmatic porch folk and ambient trip-hop collage. Walker will be doing a solo acoustic set for this show.
