Jordan Glenn’s BEAK is a percussion heavy ensemble the blurs the line between dynamic/energetic grooves and chaos. The power of this electric ensemble is wheeled by Glenn’s curious baton, moving in and out of composed and spontaneous material. For this performance, they will be performing an arrangement of Glenn's 2010 suite "Mama Long Legs".

Drummer Hamir Atwal will be presenting a unique quartet featuring Jon Arkin (electronics/drums), Ben Goldberg (clarinet) and Michael Formanek (bass). This will be their first encounter as a quartet, and will be exploring electric/acoustic sounds.

OMMO is an electro-acoustic duo comprised of Julie Moon and Adria Otte. Launched in 2014 with collaborative projects inspired by shared interests in Korean diasporic identity, ritual and impressionistic harmonies, the duo seeks opportunities to explore past traditions through a contemporary and conscious framework, employing varying configurations of piano, voice, violin and electronics in original compositions.

The Peralta Station is an outdoor venue in West Oakland. August 12th will be our second show in 2016, with an upcoming event on September 3rd, featuring a premire by Kyle Bruckmann, oboe.
