Trois Chapeaux

Trois Chapeaux formed from a confluence of long-time collaboration between Jaroba and Kevin Corcoran and the arrival of Tania Chen in the Bay Area by way of London. Their sensibilities as improvisers quickly intersected to create a group sound inspired by diverse sonic influences and a changing selection of small instruments. While piano, percussion and reeds speak to each member's musical training, a multitude of electronics, objects and toys combine with extended instrumental technique to scatter the timbre of the Trois Chapeaux sound: a navel-gazing musical practice played with a sense of humour.
