Experience the joy and confusion of the holidays with the polytonal/polyrhythmic Ives Band, in the tradition of Charles Ives' musical experiments. The Ives Band (Zachary Hazen, violin and conductor, Mia Bella D'Augelli, violin; Joshua Marshall, tenor saxophone; Andrew Jamieson and Ben Zucker, keyboard; Roger Kim, Guitar; Aaron Oppenheim, latpop; Tim DeCillis, percussion) debuts as an ensemble, innovating an approach to simultaneous familiar melodies, played in contrasting keys and tempi. Music is directed and arranged by composer and pianist Andrew Jamieson. For this set, they focus on Christmas and holiday music, and deconstruct not only familiar seasonal tunes, but the experience of holiday itself.

Come share a little food and drink for the holidays, too!

Cost: $5-15 sliding
