The 4th annual !BAMM! (Bay Area Modern Music) concert.
Amaranth Quartet will premiere Unwinding II by Matthew Paul Finnigan Commission winner Ursula Kwong-Brown (UC Berkeley, Ph.D. candidate), Also to be featured will be Hypochondriasis, by Lily Chen (UC Berkeley Ph.D. 2017), this year's winner of the !BAMM! Student Composers Competition. Hypochondriasis was composed at CNMAT with technical support from Jeff Lubow. Other works on the concert include: Leyandas by Guggenheim Fellow and Latin Grammy Award winner Gabriela Lena Frank, Parallels by Alyssa Weinberg, and Shit Around the World performed by the A/B Duo.
